Reviewers say: "Planescape: Torment is a wonderful game, and its Enhanced Edition is a splendid, unobtrusive, beautifying update." -Geek & Sundry "Planescape: Torment still stands tall as a landmark masterpiece that can continue to age gracefully, now on ...
Excellent port of an excellent game but it really needs a cloud save feature or a way to backup saves I had an iPad crash and I lost a 20 hour game save This is a common feature in most modern games and it s especially useful when playing across iPhone and iPad             Needs cloud save Highwayhigh
I had some trouble getting into Planescape after playing Baldur s Gate and Icewind Dale but I finally started playing it and was pleasantly surprised One complaint though the menu buttons are tiny and hard to press                     Great game small buttons Llama3Lord
This game is not playable on a phone Looks like it would be a lot of fun on an iPad though I wish I had one They should mention this is for iPad only     Looks like it would be fun on an iPad Emil Van Hove

Having tried some new games from the same company Overhaul I am even more impressed with this game So far there isn t much out there that is better I m going to try Star Wars KOTR because it has such good reviews but I am already missing this game flaws and all I didn t think the story line was THAT important but having tried Icewind Dale I m seeing a huge difference in the usual D D dungeon grinds and this game s detailed story line that has a reason for you to keep plugging away at the game This is now my game to beat in RPG right now I d be thrilled to find others like it second review I ve finished the game and am updating my review I initially was frustrated by the design and gameplay Along the way I became familiar with the controls well enough to tolerate them the reading is still insane and there are critical flaws the worst of which are poor inventory management and the possibility of answering a question wrong and crippling your game options with no knowledge until much later in the game I found myself using online guides a lot And the ending was frustrating Confusing But interesting Pretty solid story Overall five stars compared to some of the crud in the App Store Four stars based on flaws and imperfections I was too harsh on it earlier original review This is a 20 year old game brought back to life It is probably a blast from the past for some But it is just an old game for me Story looks superb But it is filled with 20 years of frustration that modern game design has addressed Things like bad inventory management and accidentally causing the game to go on full attack towards your character I wanted to be a thief and made my dexterity 18 But I m a fighter To improve you have to find trainers Some will love this Not for me though                     Frustrating and confusing at first Tom Steele
This game really doesn t need an introduction It s widely praised as one of the greatest ever You d be hard pressed to find a game with better writing or a more original world Having it on my phone is truly amazing It s a bit small but if you put font to max size in the options it works really well Much easier to play than BG2 Pro tip Max Int and Wisdom when making a character Trust me                     Easily one of the best games ever created ChadTylerMeadows
Very cool retro game Hope they bring back all of the old games                     Loved it now I get to play again razorbackfan72
Legendary RPG with a rich world unique storyline interesting characters non linear quests Thank you so much Please make a port of the Arcanum Of Steamworks and Magick Obscura                     The legend is back Sunfriend
no audio on most recent ios ipad air2 if you mute notifications it mutes all games now if you have no sound in game make sure the bell is not red when you swipe up                 no audio fixed Meekoneljn
It s just as amazing to replay this now all these years later on a touch screen as it was to originally on my old computer as a teen                     The Best RPG of all time now on iPad Momsgonegeek
No Spanish translation         No spanish denisvj
No sound     No sound on iPad Pro 12 3 Tzi1983
I m really enjoying playing these classic computer RPGs on my iPad This one is very strange but I was able to adapt quickly enough If you re familiar with Baldur s Gate games and similar this works similarly I m almost fifteen hours in Having a blast Watch out for the cranium rats                     One of the Claasics ex2bot
Love this game Always did when it was on PC That being said Tried playing it with several different parties and crashes every time after battle with Ravel Please fix I ll update review after it is fixed Running on iPad 4     Crashes after Ravel Slutslayer6669
It looks fun enough as a mostly text based rpg but clicking accurately is really hard its super buggy and action is not great     Buggy interface :)...!€
Definitely a game for people who like to read and favor conversation over action to each their own Two stars based on price to value review Broken quests that cannot be completed because dialogue options aren t available Ambiguous quests that leave you running around for hours chasing down hints with no indication how significant it may be where the solution might be nor explaining why you should care Storyline npcs are indistinguishable from random non story npcs because half the inhabitants use generic names         Disappointed Rebot80
No intuitive controls Had to spend 10 minutes in first room trying to use a key So much hype about this game and they just threw out the windows 98 version with touch controls No fixes drag box is pointless     Impossible to control terrible port EnSabaNur
I am a huge fan of this series of games Baldurs Gate II is one of my top 3 games ever That said this port is no good Dialog control is slow these games have a lot of dialog I have to click 5 10 times to be able to select an enemy All around not worth paying for     Bad port arnehall
I have always wanted to see what the fuss was in Planescape and yes it was as amazing as all that Kudos to Beamdog on superior execution I bought the app day one and played through with zero bugs or problems Thats incredible on such a massive complex game                     Perfect execution Yipper567433
Thank you for bringing back my favourite RPG of all time I long since lost the opportunity to play Torment on a PC I had been waiting for the day the Planes once more appeared from beyond the veil                     Torment is amazing TeacherGalante
Fix these two issues and you got a 5 star app Such a cool game but it s such a slog to play on the iPad 3 with how terribly it runs It s like watching a slideshow Runs fine on my iPhone 7 but needs to have cloud saves so I can go back and forth     Runs terribly on iPad 3 no cloud saves Mr. Mediocrity
Huge and immersive with interesting graphics and challenging mysteries and puzzles Many people will Iove this game I however prefer games like Diablo Avernum and Wizardry where most of a player s time is spent fighting monsters and acquiring gold magic items and equipment This game contains a LOT of dialogue so expect to spend a lot of time conversing with NPCs and if you happen to not ask someone a certain question it can be detrimental to gameplay and character development If you enjoy lots of dialogue you ll love this game otherwise consider trying Bard s Tale or Avernum                 Good RPG Hangandsteve
I ve purchased the other beamdog adaptations of D D RPGs and can categorically say this runs and is the most playable of the bunch Icewind Dale wins on presentation but Torment is much more playable             Fourth time lucky CAP198462
Good on iPad Pro                 Good on iPad Pro Matt2237
I bought this game based on reviews that said the story telling was good and it really made you think about choices you had to make in the game So far the only choice I have been pondering is why I spent so much money on this game I really wanted to like this game but after several hours of exploring the game I am just annoyed at all the conversations that you have to click through just to find out that nine out of ten characters in the game have nothing useful to say I know nothing more about the story line of the game compared to when I started The mechanics are clunky and the Pvm seems nearly pointless for the amount of xp you gain for it It is a lot of wandering around and a lot of clicking through useless conversations and either fighting or running away from people who are attacking you for seemingly no reason There is a fine line between exploring in a game versus aimlessly wandering In this game I felt like I was doing more aimlessly wandering than exploring For ten dollars I was expecting a lot more story line in the first few hours of the game and some thought provoking choices instead of wandering around repeatedly asking people for a person and a journal that no one seems to have any idea of where either one is If I choose to continue in this game I will need to consult a guide Not my idea of a good game It should also be noted that the game takes up a hefty piece of memory as well         Not worth the money Ben be jammin'
Torment was a PC game i tried after playing Baldur s Gate 2 but couldn t get into initially You have to get past the muddy graphics and weird art style to appreciate the remarkable and skillful storytelling that makes this a true RPG With Planescape Torment on my iPad Mini I ve spent the first 10 hours poring over lines of humorous and engaging dialogue with the sad and grotesque denizens of Sigil I ve toyed with the many possible evil and good outcomes when deciding a stranger s fate Sometimes I just went with my instincts and never looked back I found so much D D lore told in just one item description it reminded me of Dark Souls                     The Story Mana808
This is a great game and I loved playing it when I was younger My only gripe which doesn t seem to be an issue with anyone else commenting is I don t have any audio for the game I ve got my audio up in the game and on my iPad Pro and still nothing Anyone else have this issue             Audio Problems Mykid8yours
If you don t see the insane value in this then you re bad at life Which is kinda cool in a way because to be good at this game you need to be somewhat bad at life But not your life your in game life just not too bad Paradoxes Mind explosions Don t try to figure the cryptic babblings above just buy this and enjoy Nameless Ones                     Magnificent Deekin_Scalesinger
I didn t agree with a lot of decisions Beamdog made with their Siege of Dragonspear game that came out last year but I want to give them full credit for this PSTEE release It s fantastic that I can play this epic RPG on my iPad I don t recommend for iphone it would be too difficult to play There are awesome quality of life improvements with a great UI designed for iPads There are settings to change font size some small graphics settings where you can turn off the EE design changes if desired gameplay settings and quick loot The best thing of all is they did not add any new content without Chris Avellone s say so I m not finished yet and if there is some terrible game breaking bug I will adjust my score accordingly but so far I love it This is old school classic RPG goodness pulled straight from the golden era of RPGs Well done                     Well done Beamdog Xerxes1811
I tried hard to like it Seems neat Nearly impossible to target enemies Maybe not optimized for ipad pro Can t get past beginning Not hard but broken     Does it work on iPad pro gggggggglllppDan
Finally I never thought Planescape Torment would be ported much less being ported and enhanced as amazingly as this Beamdog Overhaul Games have totally outdone themselves on this There is a tiny bit of choppiness but nothing major This game has had new life breathed into it but still manages to have the totally dead undead charm as it did when it was originally released Get this and get ready to experience this classic adventure again You ll be playing it until you reach your True Death                     Nearly perfect port of a nearly perfect game corruption_of_lol
