iCompta 2 Personal Finance

I use this app to keep track of all my acconts on my iPhone Love it              So helpful

Im not sure why this isnt a more popular app There is no other app that I can find that allows you to directly download transactions from your bank and reconcile them with what youve entered It totally replaced Quicken which I was using on my MacBook I use the online banking apps mint and pageonce pro but they only show real time data iCompta allows me to schedule repetitive bills into my register and then reconcile them once theyve been paid If I deviate from my budget I can see the immediate results on my future balance once I enter the transaction It has a few quirks and a learning curve hence the 4 stars If you can combine the functionality of this app and mint or pageonce together it would be the killer checkbook app              I like it

Not only is this a really easy and complete app to use the support is just amazing The developper replies very quickly and is very very helpful Best app for keeping my books straight and I bought a few on my iphone                 great app great support

If you have the time and inclination to put in all of your information and be certain to give it a SUPER secure password then its a great app              Requires a lot of data input but works well

The mistake was mine I can register on their support site And the support is prompt I had no hope anyone would respond They did Promptly and not some automated reply A real like person replied back The software now connects via ofx to my bank The trick is the app version which probably changed end of December the banks doing Anyway its all good I have one req would it be possible to expand out the tax Descriptions a bit more Every time I xfer from my various saving accts it just says from savings with no other indicator                 FIX YOUR REGISTRATION

After spending an hour and five dollars still could not find anything to make me appreciate this app Currently have pocket money and far more user friendly        Not worth the money

I was looking for an app that replaces my Quicken iCompta is NOT it it was a good app when it was released but the updates come too sparsely and not its ancient It is not possible to track 401K investments Paycheck distribution doesnt work and all you get from the developer in the forums is This will be available in version 30 but nobody knows when if this version will actually exist I have completely switched my financial application to iBank for MAC and its sync to iPad Much better     was a great start now it got too old

Switched from Quicken and have iCompta installed on my iPhone 4 also the iCompta app installed on my MAC using Lion They sync perfectly back and forth between the two If you like charts and graphs this is def the app to get for personal accounting                 Quicken to iCompta

Please make the additional parameter for transactions Projects And report of projects will need to be shown And management of categories needs to be better Thanks              Need to be advanced

I use it in place of my checkbook ledger Its hard to imagine life without this app now                 I use it every day

Finally a personal finance app that does it all                 iCompta

Ive been using iCompta for a while now Ive tried several other personal finance products but found them all lacking Although iCompta has a bit of a learning curve its well worth it In addition the developer answers questions promptly and helpfully RedSpyderX for split transactions you can switch from percentages to amounts Just tap the percent sign and itll change to allow you to enter a dollar amount Its true that the documentation is not as robust as Id like Some of that may be a language issue the phrasing is a little awkward in places and the translation of some financial terms is a bit odd But if I had to write documentation in French itd be a lot worse              Still find it the best

This is a great app which I can control all my accounts at once in an organized matter I input my limit and it lets me know whats available I know exactly what I can spend and never worry of going over my limit                 Awesome

iCompta is one of the better personal finance apps available on iOS Though it does have areas of improvement for many users this app is substantial enough that they dont need a desktop app Direct connects to many financial institutions worldwide Uses the builtin browser to download financial institution transactions imports into the app Though requires a couple of extra steps its very easy is offered as a free option to the direct connect which often are provided for a monthly fee Skip entering every transaction manually Software should do the work for you Any app lacking direct import of financial data isnt living up to that potential Simple transaction splits you can add other people to the splits to track what is owed Splits can be entered as or in amounts just tap the which changes to a symbol for entry Investments needs work basically its not supported yet but is on the roadmap for the near term Graphs are good better than most but could offer more Btw turn the iPhone to horizontal for a better experience Tip when entering amounts manually tapping on the red arrow changes the entry from expense to income Cheers              Great app Tried a dozen this is one of the best apps

After using this app Im able to tell how much money I have at my disposal and has certainly made me more aware of my spending habits Highly recommended                 Fantastic

Reconcile needs some work Need to be able to enter starting balance and end balance for reconcile Also easier check off the transactions in reconcile mode would be appreciated Over all like it alot              Good product

I tried Pocket Money because it looked easier I ended up right back with iCompta I find the sync is flawless and so much easier than most There is a small learning curve as there are some differences from some of the other programs out there but this program along with the desktop is workingand thats all I wanteasy and accurate If you take the time to learn and ask when you have questions youll soon come to love it Dont be afraid to ask the developer questions Cyril has always responded to my inquiries and helped me to learn Ill stick with this one                 Why did I think Id find any better

Some software simply needs to perform extremely well finance software is one such type for me Unfortunately iCompta crashes on me fairly often enough for me to stop and write this review Word to the wise hit the save button often This app is almost worth paying for but it needs some stability improvements first           Buggy

This is a great tool for anyone from a casual to experienced budgeter It takes a while to type in the information though an import function would be highly useful              Good app

There is no good help with this app and when I download my bank stmt I have to do it twice before it will save I havent looked in detail but the download doesnt look like its displaying the right balances        Its ok but I wouldnt purchase again

Updating for upgrade 222 Now it is a 5 star app Great changes Using on ipad this is a very nice tool I like the reports the ability to graph various budgets and accounts Splitting entries is a little tricky percent v but certainly not insurmountable Especially when in Budget a few cents here and there is OK since I round all my entries to nearest whold dollar I dont sync with other users so that for me is not an issue I can address I like it and it does work                 Very nice tool

To heap very faint praise iCompta 2 at least appears to have potential to evolve into an app for grownups But its a long way from being there now Not sure how this app is getting such good reviews It is extremely confusing and the instructions on the website are worthless Nowhere for example do the instructions explain how to download transactions It turns out after I went through extensive third party website investigation that downloads must be performed manually The app links you in app to your credit card or banks website where you have to go through the entire manual download process which is typically buried several layers deep in most financial sites and even then it works inconsistently Also the app has unlabeled nonintuitive graphical buttons What several of these buttons do I still havent figured out And the app is clearly geared toward European customers with terminologies that dont show up in the US financial system Im searching for a well performing intuitive app that allow the user to download your financial info into the app directly from the financial institution by entering the account into into the app itself Ie Im looking for an app that is similar in function and commitment to excellence to the good old days desktop version of Quicken back when Intuit respected Mac users rather than treating us like financially unsophisticated inferiors to Windows users iCompta 2 is not yet by a long shot that app     Confusing and cumbersome

I feel bad giving such a bad rating but this app is not intuitive at all I cant even understand what each feature is supposed to do or what each functions stands for It probably is a great hit in France good for them But this success might have been lost in translation for the English version of this software To boot thatit is expensive     Not intuitive at all

This app stinks with regards to US firms They dont sync and they arent all listed Should be advertised as a great European application Useless for the US     1 Star for looks

The update to include every twoweek repeating transactions makes it perfect for me Worth every penny                 Keeps getting better

Good app overall Syncs flawlessly with my Mac iphone and ipad The inapp numeric pad for entering transactions should be a calculator It helps for manual roundups              Inapp calc missing

So far Ive only used this app for about a day so havent input that much info yet However it seems very useful for keeping track of expeditures and income I like the different display modes will definitely be using this one more              Helpful app

Ive been using Quicken since 2004 and desperately sought an app that would sync seamlessly with my computer Although I resisted it at first because I hate anything named i I eventually had to cave and get over the stupid name This app is completely reliable has made it much easier for me to keep track of my spending both in and Having all the info right there on my phone at all times is critical Cyril Anger has always been quick to reply to my questions via email even teaching me something I didnt know that I could create a network between my computer my iphone when I was in a place with no wifi My main hesitation in switching to VerizonDroid is that this app might not be available for Droid yet Everything else I can live without or find a substitute for                 best finance app EVER

Im very satisfied with this app does almost everything I want a finance app to do I just wish I could create a LOAN account that would split out principle and interest and transfer the principle to said account with known interest rate But after trying many others I still give this app 5 stars                 Great app

This app does what it says Even though it faces some problems to download transactions from certain banks asking ID questions at each connection this is not handled it is easy to use and the interface is very nice even better on the iPad The author is very reactive and very prompt at answering your questions most of the time with solutions or a future correction for the next release Excellent support              Very good and excellent techb upport

Its definitely something worth the price It allows you to add manage multiple accounts indifferent currencies and categorized intelligently Most importantly you can have it synchronized on multiple devices I have it installed on both my iPad and iPhone and they synced as it was advertised but a bit slow Here are a few things needed to be improved 1 The balance calculated in each month does not show plus or minus which is confusing because you dont know if you are in debt or credit 2 I care a lot about the statistics in pie graph but its quite disappointing It calculated the income and expense together Wrong and confusing 3 Itll be nice if I can view all accounts in one window Maybe you can add one extra function Thanks           A great app with minor bugs

Goodbye Moneydance and hello iCompta Ive tried many checkbook apps but none are as good as this one Ive got this app and bought the desktop version also They sync wonderfully together using Dropbox and this was a huge plus for me This app is so handy and will keep me up to date Thanks icompta for such a great app                 Great App

Ever since iCompta 3 came out whenever I open iCompta 2 a screen pops out asking if I want to upgrade to the new version You know what I actually spent the money to buy iCompta 3 on my iPhone but find it to be too cumbersome I already bought the iCompta 2 mac and ios versions so Im not going to spend another 20 to get the iCompta 3 mac version especially since I dont like its ios version I have also deleted the iCompta 3 ios version since the platform is too timeconsuming The popup screen from iCompta 2 supposedly gives you an option to Not show the upgrade popup screen again but it doesnt matter how many times I click on Do not display again the stupid upgrade popup screen still popsup every time I open the iCompta 2 app Have some moral values and stop pestering your loyal customers to upgrade to something thats expensive and useless Otherwise you will lose all of your customers     Stop forcing people to buy your new version
