I m a huge fan of mystery games that are more than just hidden objects This one looked really intriguing and seemed like it was one of those unique new mystery solving games so I went for it Basically you look around the house reading letters notes clues to find out what happened to your Mom Dad and sister while you were gone for a year And that pretty much is it No puzzles riddles games This is not a game Its a story experience like reading a book but in a more visual and interactive way I do think it was overpriced for what it was Hope that helped         A story experience but not a game Hellello

Simply put I loved this game The story was moving and captivating and the end was wonderful The mechanics of the game made it easy to play and very intuitive I definitely enjoyed all of the little nuances in the game music stories notes that comment about leaving all of the lights on and they really made it feel like you were in a real house with real people It was definitely interesting to try and predict where the story was going at the beginning since I didn t know anything about it you could see it going in a lot of different directions My main complaint would have to be either the price or the length of the game I loved the fact that it was short enough to play in one sitting I actually reccomend not breaking it up but because it is so short there really isn t any replay value 15 or 20 seems a little steep The only reason that I was willing to pay that much is because I had heard multiple good reviews and I had some money left over on my account I would absolutely love it if there were additional installments though Overall it was a great game but if more like this are made which I sincerely hope there are they should be longer replayable or cheaper                 Great albiet overpriced SpencerTackett7

As Katie search for what happened to your missing family by exploring the old mansion Part of this game s appeal is in the amount of stuff to explore and interact with The developers put incredible detail into replicating things with a life like quality you don t see in point and click games these days The ambiance was at times overwhelming If it wasn t for the fact my lights were on which reminds me this was the most fun I ve had turning lights on and off in any sort of game I actually felt like I was exploring the mansion The music was hit or miss for me The ambiance music what little of it there was was interesting but the cassett tapes that you find litered throughout the game had these punk rock songs in there I don t know if that was suppose to be part of the story or not but it wasn t my cup of tea The gameplay was hard to master at first especially since I m not used to playing computer games The game configuration option screen was massive and I didn t even know what half the stuff did I liked the story it flowed at a consistent pace and gave you a chance to figure things out yourself never spoonfeeding you the answers even at the end While I would ve liked to know more about Katie her backstory and what not it was Sam who was the star of the game and not just because she had the most voice dialogue in the game It almost felt like Katie was a non character an avatar for the player and that you could replace Katie with almost anybody and not have the story change one iota The voice actress for Sam did a good job in conveying emotions of a teenager learning to find herself I also would ve liked a little insight to the parents and what was going on with them It was hard to get their deal with the information I was able to find Overall this is a game woth playing at least once You ll enjoy the immersiveness and the detail and the recreation of the mid 90s when I was a teenager 9 99 may seem to be a lot for a 4 hour long game but I thin it will be a good investment                 Totally Immersive Phantom 1

This game reminded me instantly of the old point and click adventure games I loved as a kid Myst Shivers The 7th Guest etc Its a beautiful game great story and the atmosphere keeps you on the edge of your seat but unfortunately not much happens You ll spend a couple hours reading letters this family writes a LOT of letters finding keys and opening doors in what seems like a haunted house There s talk of a dead uncle who still roams the house dim lit rooms feature pentagrams and Quija boards and the characters talk of moving shadows in the middle of the night All elements of a pretty scary game Unfortunately though there are no ghosts spirits phantasms or the like There is a beautiful story about a confused teen dealing with her first love that makes you really care about the characters but not much more At every turn I was waiting for someone to be standing there I was literally on the edge of my seat for the entire game but nothing happened Just a lot of thunder that with my speakers turned WAY up made me jump every time The last element that I wanted to mention was the amount of detail that went into recreating the period in which the game was set Mid 90 s in Portland What a great time There are Nintendo games Sonic Youth posters Nirvana magazines and flannel shirts in the closet Really made me feel like I was a kid again I m not angry I didn t hate the game It was priced a bit hig I d say wait for a price drop maybe But I definitely recommend playing it I m expecting great things from the Fullbright Company My only advice is maybe next time have more of a pay off Put a couple of puzzles in there Follow through Great job guys This is in no way a bad review Keep up the good work                 Beautiful Game Great Story just a LITTLE dissapointing Joe Ronca
