Air Battle of Britain for iPad

You can only shoot the planes that are targeted plane never stalls and I never ran out of ammo which makes this flight simulator not challenging whatsoever        OK arcade action

I found this game to be pretty good and with a few updates it could be great As far as controls go they work well I feel like Im flying the plane The graphics arent bad except for a glitch in the sky I appreciate the games realism and look forward to a few more tweaks           Great Potential

The targeting is worthless You have to cycle through all the planes It doest allow you to select the closest target or the target in your sights I am also frustrated with flying out of the air space even trying to shoot down an enemy fighter I see very good potential in this game with some refinement this can be very entertaining Im getting the hang off flying and I can see my rating going up with refinement           Needs work

I enjoy this game on the iPad because of the scenery and history and aircraft types and details I also like the fact that the targets fire back with effect The scripted missions are fine as intros but the actual engagements vary which is fine No way to copy exactly what a WWII pilot did on that mission The use of red diamonds and arrows are helpful but yellow is easier to see So overall the game is educational challenging and fun HoweverI have some suggestions 1 Allow selection of targets After attacking a bomber formation for example the game wont allow engaging other bombers in that formation which is not logical During the BOB the objective was to shoot down as many bombers as possible Allowing the pilot to easily switch to the nearest bomber target would help Otherwise it is necessary to keep pushing the target button until another bomber shows up 2 Limit ammo Unlimited ammo is not realistic but should be kept as an option Maybe offer a third mode COMBAT in which ammo is limited 3 The gunsight is too large Perhaps it can be reduced in size or narrowed down to a smaller reticle for realism in the REALISTIC and COMBAT modes 4 Use yellow arrows and diamonds for target cues for better visibility I believe the above suggestions would improve the game              Battle of Britain

I am a visual fine artist and flight sim pilot with most experience in XPlane I like to read and research before I buy Simviu Techs Air Battle of Britain combines flight sim history and game qualities brilliantly I read the reviews especially the 1 2 stars 49 of the 77 ratings but gave it a try And as mentioned in the reviews when I am climbing or diving the plane gets stuck at these poles for a couple seconds I would call this a glaring Bug How did it manage to live in such an otherwise great app especially in an advanced 20 version The smoothness of the arch and the excitement of the momentum stops Bugs leave a bad taste Otherwise very sweet and bound to get better           Brilliant with Bugs

Does not even work Starts to load then freezes Does not matter if you reboot Very disappointing     What a rip

Like this game very much even though I find the control a bit sensitive The only gripe I have is the gun bottom keep firing even when I dont have my finger on it Please fix this bug Just finessed the game What do you have on forva continuance Except for the bugs above I loved it              Battle of Britain

This game is fine if you are not looking for a PC or xBox type of graphics and physics For the cost it is a fine game with a bit of history thrown inof you take the time to read the introductions to each mission              Not Bad

The graphics are okay but certain parts of the sky are kinda off therell be like certain patches of sky that has just pure white lines puts me off a little Its quite challenging after overlooking the graphics problem After a slight learning curve of getting used to the flight controls youll ready to take planes down        Interesting Gameplay but kinda poor graphics

Concept has potential but it is not yet ready for consistent play Sky graphics are a little buggy Everything is faster than you Field of battle is too short I think it needs work but can be ok if they fix it        Needs work

PRO Enjoyable adjustable control sensitivity good graphics CON Targeting Need a method to target enemy AC closest to your reticle Even worse you cant damage an enemy AC that isnt selected even if you put a long burst right up the tail That needs work           Fun battle sim

Controls are kinda unstable its hard to line up your attack the sound effects could use some work but all in all the game has great potential I hope the developer really explores the possibilities with this app              Its ok

The new update makes it freeze It was a fun game but completely unplayable now Fix the update and then I will give it four or five stars     Was a great game

A little like skies of glory that one is great but isnt ipad optimized but this game misses the mark Visuals are ok But there are many bugs Buttons for music and ratings for example sometimes work sometimes dont Many controls are like that Push a button nothing happens Also and importantly the throttle sound doesnt change as you move it up or down big flaw Frankly its hard to tell if your speed changes cant hear it or feel it Only the plane you target even if surrounded by many others is hit It doesnt appear that the planes next to it get hit Often they clearly are the ones your gun is pointed at or in front of All the missions about the same despite the different script and historical text That makes this game boring fast its really just point and shoot no ground or water targets Only 2 planes The whole description is really misleading Gameplay gets to be numb and repetitive Disappointing I could go on I like ww2fight sims and there arent enough of them This has promise but it needs so much work and depth I wouldnt buy it had I known        bugs no depth

Very nice flight sim with great graphics and fun combat Not my absolute fav a bit too sensitive but still a worthwhile offering Recommended           Cool flight sim

Like others have said this game needs some polishing Im looking forward to any and all updates This is my style of an airplane battle game so Im anxiously awaiting updates Not going to list updates needed as they are already said Ill revist my review once bugs and gameplay worked on           Potential is there

As other reviews observed the controls are far too sensitive Its very hard to control the flight           fun but controls are too difficult

Updates It would be nice to have more scenarios ground feels like a Google map picture that doesnt move more realistic sounds its great to listen some music at first but after you only hear the sound of the gunshots and multiplayer game to combat against other users Also it gets a little stuck every time im straight upwards or directly to the ground Otherwise great game ive been looking for something like this a long time ago           Best air combat game yet

I bought this with low expectations but it successfully blends rich visuals intuitive aircraft control and simple gameplay For gamers who are used to flight Sims it might be a bit simple but it feels natural enough to be immersive Its also close enough to flight rudder controls are clever for instance to feel like a simulator and not an arcade game Planes are well rendered and accurate and scenery is attractive AI of enemy fighters is pretty good and the target locating arrow helps Cons its a bit too easy Youd have to be pretty bad to be shot down The engine sound loop needs to be better and you can only kill targets that the target selector selects You can be attacking a horde of German bombers but can only select two of them to kill for instance Missions end when you kill two to four planes Its fun and will satisfy warbirds gamers who want to quickly dive on a swarm of Stukas before finishing lunch              Fun game
